Smoke in a Structure Call

 

October 30th - At 22:20, Station7 was alerted for a first alarm assignment on Box 7-10 for smoke in a structure at 129 West Walnut Street, Borough of Mount Union.  This brought Companies 7, 2, 20 and MC 26 to the scene and transfers of E5 and MC E18.

Chief7 reported on scene with light smoke conditions and no fire.  Company 7 and E20 were held to the scene and all other units were placed available.  The problem was determined to be a malfuctioning furnance.  Units were back in service at 23:10.

Working Structure Call

 

October 29th - At 23:40, County went on the air with a first alarm assignment on Box 7-13 for a structure fire on Cummins Road, Shirley Township, Huntingdon County.  This brought Q7, E7, Amb 701, E9, T9, E2, E20, T20, T6, MC E26, MC T26 and transfers of E5 and MC E18.

Q7 reported on scene with a working fire and requested a working fire channel.  E2 was directed to establish fill site and all other units were directed to level 1 staging.  At 00:17, Chief7 held Company 7, MC T26, T20 to the scene and transfer companies to the station.  All other units were placed available.  Units were back in service at 01:11.

Vehicle rollover in the Borough

October 29th - At 17:37, Station 7 was dispatched to a single vehicle accident with rollover in the area of 230 East Shirley Street in the Borough of Mount Union.  EMT 7E16 (Pharis) was several vehicles behind the accident and advised county that the individual was self extricated.  R7 and Amb 701 responded.  R7 crew assisted Borough PD with traffic control until vehicle was removed.  Units were back in service at 18:21.

Brush/Vegetation fire

 

October 26th - At 16:28, Station 7 was alerted for an unattended brush fire in Shirley Township, Huntingdon County.  E7 and B7 responded.  Trash line was used off E7 to extinguish fire.  Units were back in service at 17:03.

Assisting Department 5

October 22nd - At 11:49, Engine 7 was requested to assist on a 5 box in the Borough of Huntingdon.  Unit was placed available when entering Huntingdon Borough.  Unit was back in service at 12:34.

3 Vehicle Chain Reaction

Auto accident

 

October 21st - At 10:28, Station 7 was alerted for an auto accident at the intersection of Route 747 and 22 in Wayne Township, Mifflin County.  R7 and Amb 701 responded.

Units were back in service at 11:47.

A F A with Wires Down

Assisting Department 5

October 20th - At 13:08, Station 7 was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding at Blyer Industries in the Borough of Mount Union.  AC7 responded direct to find no power.  County then advised of wires down at the corner of Chestnut and Division Streets.  E7 responded to that address.  Units were back in service at 13:26.

October 19th - At 14:43, Engine 7 was requested to assist on a 5 box in the Borough of Huntingdon.  Unit arrived on scene and was then placed on stand-by.  Unit was back in service at 17:38.

October 15th - At 19:56, Rescue 7 was requested to assist on a 5 box in the Borough of Huntingdon.  Unit was placed available while enroute.  Unit was back in service at 20:02.

Working Structure Call

 

October 15th - At 13:06, Box 7-10 was alerted for a structure fire on PA Ave in the Borough of Mount Union.  Q7, R7 and Amb 701 responded.  R7 arrived on scene to find a chair inside the structure on fire.  An 1 3/4" line was pulled the fire was extinguished without any extension to the actual structure.  E2, E20 and MC E26 and T26 assisted with the call.

Units were back in service at 13:52.

Transfer Assignment

 

October 15th - At 11:18, Station 7 was requested to transfer a single engine to Huntingdon County Co. 14.

E7 responded with full crew.  Unit was back in service at 13:30.

Another A F A

 

October 13th - At 21:10, Station 7 was alerted for a single engine to assist Huntingdon County Co. 2 with an automatic fire alarm sounding at the former Motel 22 building.  Company 2 officers placed box prior to any units reporting on the air.

October 13th - At 06:10, Station 7 was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding at Blyer Industries in the Borough of Mount Union.  Alarm company advised of a false activation.  Box was placed available prior to any units reporting on the air.

Quint requested on Transfer

 

October 13th - At 01:57, Station 7 was requested to transfer "THE QUINT" to Mifflin County Co. 15.  Mifflin County Units were on scene of a working structure fire on Valley Street in the Borough of Lewistown.  Q7 responded with full crew.

Unit was back in service at 05:02.

1st in on Working Structure Call

 

October 12th - At 22:35, Station 7 was alerted to assist Mifflin County Co. 26 with a reported structure fire on a 26-30 box in Cedar Crest, Mifflin County.  Q7, E7, R7 and Amb 701 responded.  Q7 was the first unit on scene and found a working fire in the rear bedroom of a mobile home.  Q7 crew pulled an 1 3/4" line and extinguished the fire.  Co. 26 assisted with ventilation and overhaul.  Units were back in service at 23:31.

Transfer Assignment

 

October 2nd - At 09:51, Station 7 was requested to transfer a single engine to Huntingdon County Co. 20.

E7 responded with full crew.  Unit was back in service at 12:04.
