On the job training? August 21st - Training night was to be water supply, particularly "tagging" a hydrant. Q7, E7, R7 and Amb 701 went to the industrial park for the training. About 45 minutes into the training, a column of black smoke could be seen starting to rise approximately a mile away. Just then, dispatch alerted Station 7 to investigate some type of outdoor fire on Rt. 522 South in the area of Bonney Forge Corporation. Chief7, Q7, E7, R7 and Amb 701 all responded from the training site. Chief7 reported on scene at Taylor's Auto Body with a very large rubbish fire threatening a structure and requested a first alarm assignment. This brought engines 20, 9, MC 26 and tankers 20, MC 26 to the scene. Engine2 for RIT and transfer assignments for E5 and MC E18. Within a few minutes the fire was knocked down with no extension to the structure. Responding units were placed available and all units were back in service at 20:57. |

August 21st - The Mount Union Fire Company Dive Team assisted the Mount Union Borough Police Department in an attempt to recover evidence from the Aughwich Creek along SR 103 in Shirley Township. E7 with Chief7 and crew as well as several members of the Dive Team responded to the call. MUFD was assisted by three officers of the MUPD.

Bang, Bang alarms again! |
Fatal accident on Rt. 22 August 18th - At 14:17, Station 7, E2 and R20 were dispatched for an auto accident, pickup vs. motorcycle, on Rt. 22 in Brady Township, Huntingdon County. R7, Amb 701 and 702 responded. Upon arrival the motorcycle operator was found to be deceased and the pickup operator had to be extricated. Rt. 22 was shutdown to 1 lane during PSP investigation. The last unit was back in service at 18:00 hours. |
Vehicle fire threatening a structure August 18th - At 14:40, while operating at the accident scene, Station 7 was dispatched for a vehicle fire threatening a structure at the rear of 30 West Halley Street, Mount Union Borough. R7 responded from accident scene and E7 from station. Due to exposures and manpower a first alarm assignment was requested. This brought R20, MC T26 and E2 to scene and E5 and MC E18 on transfer. Amb 901 handled EMS at fire scene. Units were back in service at 15:30. |
Early morning wakeup call August 18th - At 01:38, Station 7 was dispatched for "some type of electrical fire" at 115 West Chestnut Street, Mount Union Borough. E7, Q7 Amb 701 responded. E7 crew found a wire that had been cutoff and taped to be burning which cause light smoke conditions in the residence. The wire was disconnected from panel box. Units were back in service at 02:32. |

Transfer Assignment
August 16th - At 15:30, Station 7 was requested to transfer a single engine to Department 5. E7 responded with full crew. |
2nd Transfer Assignment
At 17:40, Station 7 was requested to transfer Quint7 to Department 5. Q7 responded with full crew.

Propane Leak Call during Transfer Assignment At approximately 17:30, a local alarm was hit out for ventilation of a dormitory at Juniata College for a propane smell E7 and Bedford County Truck 35 responded. When they arrived on scene they found a 125lb buried propane cylinder with a cracked relief valve and an active leak. Command asked for 2 additional engine companies and EMA to the scene. The request brought R3, S6 and Blair County Engine 10-11 to the scene. Fire personnel then made sure area was evacuated, monitored the air and nearby storm sewers and dispersed the vapor cloud with an unmanned ground monitor until gas company could pump the tank out. The box was available at 2300 hrs. E7 and Q7 were back in service at 23:45 |

Orbisonia/Rockhill Annual Homecoming Parade
August 14th - E7, Q7, Amb701 and Fire Queen Brumbaugh attended the annual Orbisonia/Rockhill Homecoming parade. Q7 got 1st place Aerial, Amb701 got 1st place Ambulance and E7 got 2nd place engine. Thanks again to Company 9 for your hospitality! |

Transfer Assignment
August 12th - At 14:53, Station 7 requested to transfer a single engine to Department 5. E7 responded with full crew but were put available prior to arrival. Back in service at 15:23. |

Vehicle Accident with Fire August 11th - At 17:11, Station 7, Rescue 20 and Mifflin County Station 26 were dispatched to a report single vehicle accident with fire, no entrapment on Rt. 22/522 Wayne Township, Mifflin County. R7, E7, Amb 701 and Amb 702 responded. R7 arrived on scene and advised county this was Brady Township, Huntingdon County. County then dispatched Station 2 to assist. R7 crew pulled a 1 3/4" line to extinguish vehicle and extension into the woods. 2 patients were transported to J.C. Blair for evaluation. Units were back in service at 18:35. |

3 Car Accident August 10th - At 14:26, Station 7 was dispatched to assist Mifflin County Co. 26 with a 3 car accident on Rt. 522 North, Wayne Township in the area of Meadowview Manor. R7, Amb 701 and Amb 702 responded. R7 crew assisted with traffic control. Units were back in service at 15:10. |
CO detector run August 9th - At 12:49, Station 7 was dispatched for a local box - CO detector activation in a residence, Overbrook Acres, Shirley Township. E7, Amb 702 and Amb 703 responded. Units were back in service at 13:24. |

Early morning rollover August 7th - At 05:45, Station 7 was dispatched for an auto accident with rollover and driver ejection on Rt. 747 approximately 5-6 miles south of Mount Union. R7, Amb 702 and Amb 703 responded. Amb 702 transported 1 patient to JC Blair. Units were back in service at 07:00. |
Transfer Assignment
August 5th - At 11:29, Station 7 requested to transfer a single engine to Mifflin County Company 18 quarters. Their Engine and Tanker were on first due assignment on 17 box for a structure fire. E7 responded with full crew. Back in service at 12:36. |
