Quint and Engine assist on 26 Box for working residential fire!
Quint7 and Engine7 were alerted for an early morning working house fire on Front Street, in the Borough of Newton Hamilton, Mifflin County. |

Rescue & Transfer Assignment run structure call
While E7 and B7 were committed to a mountain fire in Germany Valley, Station 7 was alerted for a working structure fire on Wrangletown Road, Shirley Township, Huntingdon County. R7 and Mifflin County E1 responded. While attempting to navigate lane up to the structure, R7 became disabled. E1 crew had to advanced hand lines via a neighboring lane.
While on this call, Station 7 was alerted for an auto accident on Rt. 103 South. Again, the transfer, this time Mifflin County Truck 1-1, handled the call.

March 21st - The annual awards banquet for the Mount Union Fire Company was held. The emcee for the evening was Rev./FF Michael Dubbs, pastor of the United Methodist churches in Allenport, Singer's Gap and Shirleysburg. The guest speaker for the evening was Mike Epolito, Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal. State Senator John Eichelberger was also in attendance. |

Brush, Engine and EMS handle "uncontrolled" controlled burn
February 26th - Station 7 dispatched for a brush fire in Shirley Township, Huntingdon County. Brush7, E7 and Amb 702 responded. Upon arrival crew found small area beyond controlled burn to be on fire. FF. Rhodes/FF. Jenkins handled the line work while Asst. Chief Eng7 Hughes controlled the pump. |

Qunit, Engine and Ambulance assist on 9-5 box house fire
February 20th - Just before noon, Q7 and E7 were dispatched to a reported structure fire on a 9-5 box in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County. Chief 9 arrived on scene and advised all responding units of a working fire. Q7 and E7 where the 2nd and 3rd piece of apparatus to arrive on scene behind E9. Upon arrival the Quint crew split into two crews, one (Lt. Baker/Lt. Skipper) advancing a hose line to the interior fire room while the other (Chief Morder, FF Jenkins and FF Hatch) placed ground ladders and opened up the roof. Upon arrival the Engine also split into two crews, one (FF Rhodes, FF Shope, FF Armstrong) advancing a hose line up a ladder to the fire room while the other (ChiefEng Zilch and FF Morder) established a tanker fill site. An ambulance from 700 was also requested due to civial injuries on scene. Units were available 14:00. |

January 3rd - 00:31 - Station7 alerted for single vehicle accident on Rt. 522 bypass on Shirley Township end. R7, E7, Amb. 701 and 702 responded. R7 (Lt. Baker) arrived on scene with 2 occupants entraped. Roof was laid open and EMS handled treatment and transport. Units were available 01:15. |

Early to rise, late to bed! The fire service can have some long days
November 13th - Having been awaken just after 5:30 am, to assist MC 26 on structure fires, Station7 made it a long day by ending the evening with a training session on the neighboring properties aquired by the fire company for a station expansion project. |

Quint and Engine assist on 26 Box for working residential fire!
November 13th - Just after 5:30 am, Quint7 and Engine7 were alerted for a working house fire in the Borough of Newton Hamilton, Mifflin County. Chief7 (Morder) and Chief Eng7 (Zilch) handled the aerial operation while the remainder of the crew, under the direction of Lt7 (Baker), ventilated the neighboring residence and then made entry for extinguishment. |

Box 7-10 struck for working house fire!
August 24th - Just after 2:00 pm, Station7, MC26, E20, T20, E9, T9, E2 (RIT), E50 (Transfer) and MCE18 (Transfer), were alerted for a working house fire on Vandevendor Street in Mount Union Borough. Assitant Chief 7 went on scene with confirmed fire. Advised county of a second house involved and requested a 2nd alarm. Exterior operations were ordered as units began arriving on scene.

Quint and Engine run structure fire on 12 box...
August 10th - Just prior to 6:00 am, Station 7, was alerted for the Quint and Engine to assist Co. 12 on a working house fire in Springfield Township, Huntingdon County.
Q7 and E7 responded within a minute of each other. Upon arrival, Q7 crew was directed to the roof while E7 diverted to Station 12 on standby. Q7 crew assisted with vertical ventilation on the addition and horizontal ventilation of the second floor of the main structure. |

... and This Is What We Do!
August 4th - At approximately 8:35 am, Station 7, was alerted to assist Mifflin County 26 on a working garage fire attached to a dwelling along Rt. 22 in Wayne Township, Mifflin County. Q7, E7 and Amb. 701 responded. Q7 was directed to scene to establish access to the roof and E7 was directed to establish a fill site on Ferguson Valley Road. Upon arrival, Q7 crew was split with 2 directed to interior operations and 3 to establish truck operations. The garage had a crawl space the entire length of the building so Command 26 held ventilation to the gable vent at the far end of the garage. Yes, that's a PPV on the tip of the stick! |

August 3rd - At 2:35 pm, Station 7, was alerted to assist Mifflin County 26 on a 2 vehicle accident in the area of Rt. 22 and 522 intersection in Wayne Township, Mifflin County. R7, E7, Amb. 702 and 701 responded. R7 arrived on scene and was given command of the the entrapment job by Chief 26. 2 patients were extricated and turned over to 700 EMS. Both patients were transported to the medovack landing zone at the high school and flown to a regional trauma center. |

Engine runs large salvage yard fire
August 1st - Just before noon, E7 was dispatched to transfer to Mifflin County Station 1 (Burnham). While enroute, Mifflin County upgraded the E7 to the scene. Upon arrival, E7 was directed to be the supply engine for Truck 1-1 and that's what they did for the next 4 hours.....move big water! E7 was released at 1800 hours. |

July 29th - R7 and Amb. 701 responded to a reported minor 2 vehicle accident on Rt. 522, Shirley Township, Huntingdon County, in the area of the industrial park. R7 provided traffic control until PSP arrived. |

July 24th - Just after 6 pm, Station 7 was dispatched for a possible vehicle fire on Rt. 522 South, Shirley Township, Huntingdon County, in the area of the industrial park. E7, R7 and Amb. 701 responded. E7 arrived on scene to find the console smoldering. |

July 18th - Just after 3 pm, Q7 and E7 were dispatched to assist on a 9 box in the Borough of Shirleysburg for a working house fire. Q7 crew assisted with the initial interior attack while E7 crew did the truck work.

Rescue assists with minor auto accident in the Borough!
July 14th - Rescue7 and Amb. 700 were dispatched for a 2 vehicle accident in front of McDonald's on East Shirley Street, Borough of Mount Union. Units arrived on scene to find a rear end collision. Units assisted with traffic control until PSP arrived.

July 5th - Station7 dispatched for vehicle rollover in the area of Walnut Street Extended, Borough of Mount Union. Units arrived on scene to find individual confined. Patient was extricated and flown by med-a-vac to trauma center. |
